Are graphics good for SEO?

Google loves pictures. Well, so do you! Are you more likely to read a dense, 5k word article that just goes on and on, or a fun and lively article with graphics coming every so often to break it up?

Graphics just make the text easier for the user, which means that Google loves them.

Use graphics

Make sure to use graphics liberally throughout your site. Obviously this will depend on your niche and target audience, but in general, a good graphic is always welcome — even if it’s just a statistic displayed graphically.

Stock pictures? Better than nothing — but only just. If you can’t take the pictures yourself, at least edit them in Canva or a similar program. You can add your name or logo, the article title, a quote or even just some special effects. Make it yours!

And yes, I know I’m being a hypocrite here by using a stock image for this article. But check out the graphic in this article as a great example of upgrading a stock image:
