How much is a customer worth to you?

Well, one session/the average purchase/my price for a function etc. is $100. So each customer is worth $100.

Straightforward, right?

Wrong.

(Hey, if it really was that simple I wouldn’t be writing about it!)

Do your customers ever come back? If they had a great experience, or loved their purchase, will they come back to you next time the need arises?

And more than that, will they tell their friends? Word of mouth referrals are one of the strongest marketing methods out there.

Time for some math!

So, let’s say your average purchase size is $100. One customer comes and places their order of $100. They end up coming 4 times that year — that’s $400. And they recommend you to three friends, each of who come 4 times a year on average — so that’s $1600 revenue from that one original customer. And what if those friends refer you on to their friends?

Go ahead, calculate the worth of your customers. Think of your average customer and write down:
